Week 2: Bones & Breath
We are officially in Week 2 of the Sol Rhythm Collective, and it’s time to move a layer deeper.
Last week, we established the ground floor and looked at where our baselines sit. This week, we are looking at the literal structure of how we hold tension—the nervous system, the bones, and the lungs.
Physical stress and that constant fight-or-flight energy love to store themselves in the deep tissue of the body. If you’ve been carrying unexplainable tightness in your lower back or hips, your body is likely holding onto a baseline tension it doesn't need anymore. We are going to address that directly.
What We Are Sinking Into This Week:
The Movement: A dedicated focus on Psoas Release & Pelvic Stability. Expect deep, intentional, slow releases targeting the psoas and lower back to physically let go of that stored stress.
The Breath: Down-regulation breathwork. We’ll practice specific pacing, like extended exhales, to actively shift the nervous system out of high alert and back into a calm, centered state.
The Conversation & Journaling: We’re exploring the somatic connection between your stress and your physical tightness. This will prepare you directly for Part 2 of the Worksheet (The Method Audit), where you'll note which breathwork style actually felt accessible to you.
🗓️ Next Live Gathering
To keep our momentum locked in, our next live meetup is officially set. We are moving forward with the rhythm we have, so clear your space and join us if you can.
When: Wednesday, June 10th at 6:15pm.
Note: The meeting link can also be found in the Gather area of Sol Rhythm Collective. If your current schedule doesn't line up with the live session, the replay will be uploaded within 24 hours.
💬 The Week 2 Check-In
Don't overthink this. Drop a comment below and let me know:
Where do you physically hold your baseline tension when you are stressed or overwhelmed? (Neck, jaw, hips, lower back?)
Let’s get a map of where we're starting from. See you in the comments.
